The stress is coming to an end which means I can finally have a "some-what" normal sleep schedule and actually have time to think about things other than homework. It's the LAST week of my fall semester at FIT!
There had definitely been times this semester where I just didn't think I would make it through or ever experience a night out with friends again but I can gladly say things always work themselves out and I am slowly (but surely) finding my way through this new lifestyle.
Now, I know I'm making it seem like my work is completely done. That is not true. I have a few projects to finish up and hand in for the semester and I can't wait to share them with you guys! This includes one last studio project.
For our final project this semester we were assigned teams and were given the task to design a foyer for an urban apartment that promoted sustainable interior design. As a team we had to research a topic/issue that interested us and design the space around that concept. My team chose to highlight the lack of electricity in 3rd world countries and contrast it to the over use of electricity in big cities. I don't want to give away TOO much but I will give you all a sneak peek into our concept and mood board to give you a taste of what's to come!
RIGID, MYSTIFYING, ILLUMINATING
If you're as excited as I am to see the finished product of this design challenge, don't worry! We only have a week to complete it so you won't have to wait too long to see the rest ;)
Sincerely,
